About Us

About Us

The California American Fire Sprinkler Association, CAFSA, apprenticeship program is approved through the State of California’s Division of Apprenticeship Standards and the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Apprenticeship Training, Education and Labor (OATELS). It is a five-year, performance-based program, consisting of a ten-level regimen of home study, classroom instruction, hands-on lab work, and on-the job training.  Our program develops your employees into skilled, motivated, and productive craftspeople.

Our Mission

The California American Fire Sprinkler Association is a non-profit association with a dual mission:
  • Promoting an environment that attracts, trains, and retains men and women within the fire sprinkler industry through a comprehensive apprenticeship training program.

  • Promoting, developing and supporting a climate which sustains and enhances the long-term viability of the fire sprinkler industry through coordinating member services.
