CAFSA’s Apprenticeship Program covers a variety of relevant industry qualifications from personal responsibility and job safety to trouble shooting wet and dry pipe sprinkler systems, blueprint reading, water meters, exposure systems, valves, underground systems, and many other required fields of knowledge.
The nationally industry recognized curriculum combines information spanning the latest devices and techniques, as well as the proven techniques and methods of the past.
Working alongside a certified journeyperson, the apprentice can put the conceptual and technical data he or she has learned in the classroom, into reality on the jobsite.
This combined course of study covers the complete range of technical, safety and product know-how for your mechanics, provides a long-range plan of professional growth for your apprentices and serves as a powerful incentive to progress in a critical industry.
The CAFSA state approved apprenticeship program operates under the full recognition and approval of the State of California’s Division of Apprenticeship Standards, allowing equal access to bid and perform public works jobs using fully certified apprentices as well as recognized journeypersons. Once the exclusive domain of contracting operations bound to collective bargaining agreements, such state, local and federal public works apprenticeship recognition is now available to committed and quality conscious “merit shop” contractors who understand the importance of a level playing field.
